Kenneth A. Millman Celebrates the Art of Storytelling and Survival in Memoirs of an Old Fart

Micco, 02/03/2026 — With Memoirs of an Old Fart: Tales I’ve Told So Often I’m Beginning to Believe Them Myself, author Kenneth A. Millman turns a lifetime of mischief, mayhem, and meaningful moments into a richly entertaining memoir that proves truth really is stranger and funnier than fiction.

Told with a journalist’s eye and a humorist’s heart, Millman’s recollections stretch from the backroads of 1940s Massachusetts to the depths of Navy submarines during the Vietnam era, all the way to newsrooms, family life, sailing charters, and beyond. Each story is told with unfiltered wit and an honesty that bridges generations, offering readers laughter one moment and quiet reflection the next.

At its core, the memoir is about finding the extraordinary in the ordinary. Whether recounting his father’s wartime heroism, the chaos of raising four kids, or his own brushes with danger and self-discovery, the author shows how humor and resilience can turn even life’s hardest lessons into timeless tales. The book moves effortlessly between heartfelt tributes and hilarious confessions, painting a portrait of a man who has lived boldly, loved deeply, and learned that time’s best gift is perspective.

Millman’s voice, equal parts storyteller, philosopher, and old friend, makes readers feel like they’re sitting across from him at a kitchen table, listening to stories that somehow sound like their own. His blend of nostalgia and hard-won wisdom reminds us that the stories we share are what outlive us, binding families and generations through laughter, honesty, and heart.

Engaging, deeply human, and refreshingly real, Memoirs of an Old Fart is more than a memoir. It’s a celebration of endurance, humor, and the people who shape us. Through the eyes of a man who has seen the best and worst of life and still manages to laugh at both, Kenneth A. Millman captures what it means to remember, to honor, and to live fully.

Memoirs of an Old Fart: Tales I’ve Told So Often I’m Beginning to Believe Them Myself is available now on major online bookstores.
